I've had a few Bufo viridis and have never properly hibernated them. I keep them in a cool garden shed with some Bufo bufo and the only heat is the residual heat from a heated water tank of terrapins near by. Just yesterday it was cold enough for frost to appear on the inside of the shed windows but the toads kept just warm enough not to freeze up which would be fatal. As soon as they warm up a little they attempt to eat when offered food. They have bred in the summers before now so I don't think hibernation is necessary for breeding. It may depend whereabouts in Eurasia your toads come from.Their range goes from the far south of Europe and middle east up to Denmark. Lots I've seen for sale are said to be from eastern Europe so they would be hardy enough.
