I'm ridiculously fond of him and of broad banded water snakes in general. He's a very VERY good eater, given his habit of eating anything that I offer him. He's also tough as nails. I hardly ever need to use any kind of temperature control things with him, and in fact, when he was loose in my house's vents, he came out none the worse for his experience, and he took care of our cricket problem while he was down there. He is a little brat sometimes though. Sometimes he can nip, but it's a pretty half hearted attempt. He's also very fast and moves around quite a bit, though whether that's a Jorge thing or a broad banded thing, I don't know. But they do have awesome markings.
