I'm considering purchasing a CWD. I've done a good deal of research online, read a few books and such, but I still have some questions that I can't seem to find answers to elsewhere.
Mostly I'm wondering about the enclosure. I've got a rather large home-built one that was used for some large variety of snake by its previous owners, and I'd like to adapt it for use with a dragon, if possible.
Problem is, I don't quite know where to begin. For starters, the frame is made from pinewood. Is that toxic? I'm aware that there are some troubles with cedar fumes, does pine have the same issue?
Also, the wire mesh is quite wide, with gaps about a centimeter in diameter. I intended to replace or cover that with a finer mesh, any suggestions on that? Also, with any mesh what kinds of things will I need to keep the humidity up?

Maybe the cage is a lost cause, of course. It just seems like something of a waste not to at least /try/ to make it work.
