Where you are born does not designate what you are. Eryx are Boas and African and central Asian. Candoia are Boas and Indonesian. Epicrates species are primarily Caribbean, with the inland species being the common Rainbow Boas (Epicrates striatus) that everybody sees nowadays. Casarea dussumeiri (Round Island Boa, Bolyeria) is found off the coast of Africa. Sonoran Boas are found in the USA. Just like Randy T said, there's Boas scattered across the globe.
