The skin of all species of day geckoes is rather delicate and tears easily when they are handled if you are not careful. For this reason you should not handle them at all unless absolutely necessary. You can still interact with your standings however. They are quite intelligent as far as day geckos go and will readily take insects from your hand. Aside from that however day geckos should be treated more like aquarium fish than reptiles...look but don't touch.
