Frilled dragons are super pets, you just have to spend time working with them. One thing to remember is that they have wonderful vision and they can see very far away, and some things that we look at everyday can be very frightening to them, like the TV or a brightly colored curtain or something as simple as a lamp, they can get really nervous when that the bear lamp, that you might love, is looking at them.. yikes, he thinks he's lunch to the bear lamp. Just handle him/her for as long as they are comfortable, when they start getting antsy, put them back, you want them to feel comfortable and safe, first and foremost. My frilled is very friendly, he hangs out in my shirt for long periods at a time.. lol I can vacuum my whole house with him in my shirt and he never tries to escape. I have been gentle and always let him tell me what he wants, through his body language. I would never have one of these creatures for a display, they are so much better than their looks alone. Just be patient and follow his cues. Good luck!!
