Hi,

I own three bci and three dumerils, both trios of 2 females and 1 male. All are adults over 4 years of age. My bci females are about 7 feet and around 30 pounds. My male is about 6 feet and 7 pounds. My dum females are about 5 feet and 15-20 pounds. My male is about 5 feet, and 5 pounds.

Dumeril's in general are not as heavy bodied as most bci and tend to be shorter overall. The bci are extremely food oriented and usually more difficult for me to handle. The dums although a bit more timid, are also more reliable with their movements.

I personally (could you tell) prefer dum's to bci, but I only have experience with common boas, if you want a smaller boa you could look into some of the dwarf boas like Nics. I hope I helped, I think I forgot some of the questions you had listed though....my memory is weak today!

Thanks,
Amy
