Glad you are getting on okay with him Paul.

Yes the snake was sold to us by Glades as an eastern, I'm not sure if it was one they have just aqquired or if they took me up on my suggestion and sent the newest member of staff out to catch some LOL.

It certainly is darker on the head compared to the body and more so than any of the other coachwhips I have which are westerns (barring the new one which is certainly eastern). I will be really gutted if it isn't an eastern though, myself and Paul are really hoping to breed coachwhips.

Paul.... At last the eastern I kept has taken a small item of food on it's own, well i had to put it in the mouth but it ate it at least. The youngish male western and the other dark female are both being gits to feed, though the male is trying to mate but she isn't receptive at the moment. Fingers crossed, the old female is due to shed so with luck Smokey will get the idea, I may swap the males around anyway though to see what happens.

We really need some females quite desperately over here in the Uk now, only have 3 westerns between us and 4 hatchling red westerns.

Mike
