My guess is that the RF is question is a cherryhead. I too have seen this with some of my hatchlings. The tortoise is completely normal with a nice smooth shell but the front leg scales seem almost too thick and 'scoop' shaped.
Is this correct?
I have a couple that are like that but as they grow the scales do seem to be flattening out.
With hatchlings that I kept from the past two years I have been feeding less Mazuri chow and have been keeping them extra moist and I do not have that problem with them.
I never had this before with the many northern RFs that I have hatched and raised.
