keep at it with picking him up, get him used to you handling you, but be careful so as you dont stress him. (NEVER hold him upside down.. heis not playing dead, he is struggling to breathe )

Snout damage tends to not heal properly. i have a cwd that has snout damage.. its not red and inflamed any more when she was in the pet shop running into the glass but its still deformed

one of my other cwd was bought from a boot sale.. can you beleive it.. in a tank with no power out in the open for 5 hours in winter... anyway.. he has snout damage to the extent one of his nostrells is collapsed.. he is fine now tho i suspect he is male due to the colouring under his chin. I have what i think are two females who do not have as impressive colouring.

But, yes, if you are in a room he cant escape from and has no where to hide that you wont be able to get him.. Take him out the tank, get him settled in your hands and maybe then put him on your shoulder (wear a sweatshirt) and walk around the room slowly just to get him used to you moving him around. never pick him up from above when he is skitty. always take him from the side.

Once he/she is nice and tame you will have LOADS of fun caring for them.. but feel free to ask any questions on here.. Do you have pics?
