Just checked my trusty "Conant & Collins", and you're in an interesting area-right where the the 2 ssp of sipedon (northern and midland) intergrade, and right next to the northernmost extension of Nerodia fasciata range.

LOL-who knows what genetic heritage is represented in that snake?
