Two days ago I had three of my male spotted turtles sunning themselves on a log here. I live in West Michigan along Lake michigan. Temps were 37 for a high. First year I hibernated spotteds. I kept females indoors but twleve males spent winter in a pond. I knew spotteds could handle colder waters but first time ive seen it first hand. I hatched 6 babies from my two of my females over winter. They have laid two clutches of eggs a year for the last six years since Ive kept them indoors.
