I know that some owners do. The screen for the "reptarium" brand by apogee is softer than the screen you find at your local home depot/lowes etc.

I decorate the cage with plants/vines to make him feel more secure so that he does rub his nose. So far, his nose is okay, if it becomes a problem i will change my set up.
