Ensure proper humidity as well as access to a regular source of water or daily soakings in luke warm water. This usually does the trick. Allow the animal to adjust to its environment and ensure that said environment is maintained under ideal redfoot conditions (moderate to high humidity, plenty of hiding spaces and substrate to nestle into). Also ensure a minimum of disturbance. Frequent disturbances (i.e. handling, excessive foot traffic by cages, etc.) can have a jarring effect on new arrivals. They must be given privacy. If the animal is still not feeding within two weeks (one week if it is a hatchling), take it to a vet.
