Posted by: megalon at Fri Apr 18 12:39:36 2008 [ Report Abuse ] [ Email Message ] [ Show All Posts by megalon ] i live in summerville, but i've been around a bit.i know that you can find muds in lake murray, but i have'nt been there in a couple years.further south, the santee cooper lake system(lakes marion & moultrie, and all of the little ponds, creeks, and canals connecting them)are full of muds& stink-pots.also,the edisto river and all of it's tributaries.i've had a lot of luck lately(in the last 2 yrs or so)in some old farm ponds(now subdivision drainage ponds-i hate "progress".my stepson caught 8 baby stink-pots last year in a creek a couple miles from my house while netting turtle food(mosquito fish, crawdads, and grass shrimp).i hope any or all of this helps!
