need an ID on this Gecko/lizard

hi, i found this creature while i was traveling in desert at night. can any of you help me ID this specie please? i had a hard time finding it since it has a close look to banded geckos, i am still not sure since the coloring is quiet different. this one is less than 4" long but i found another one that was longer than 9".
