I don't know a lot about their personal histories, as they were rescues, but they seem to be in good health. I wasn't sure if they mated readily in captivity, but the female's ever-growing belly suggests that they have. I have also witnessed some courtship behavior (head-bobbing, chasing, and dewlaps being displayed), but the male is pretty shy and usually hides when I come and watch. The female is less high strung.
