Posted by: megalon at Sat May 3 19:05:29 2008 [ Report Abuse ] [ Email Message ] [ Show All Posts by megalon ] ok,i just had the wierdest thing happen yesterday.i had my painted turtles tank break in a cleaning accident(never send a 12 yr old to do a man's job,i guess, haha)and while i was repairing it,i put my painteds in with my spotteds.it took me about 30 min to go to the store and get a new tube of silicone, and when i got back,my male spotted was ALL-OVER my female painted.i wish he would show that much attention to the female spotted.they were going at it off and on for about 2 hours, then the painted went up on the land portion of the tank.i guess he left her alone after that, because he was on on his log this morning, and she was still on land.would this pairing be feasible?if so,would the eggs be viable at all,or are they just too distantly related for it to work?any answers will be appreciated.
