Hoplobatrachus occipitalis from Ghana

I believe this is one of the Crowned bull frogs found throughout sections of West and South Africa. However, this particular population, which appears at my son's camp site in the bush in Ghana during the rainy season, is a particularly different light golden tan in color, rather than the darker browns found in most of this species. In past years, all he has seen is their eyes peeking from rain pools, and this is the first year he's been able to photograph at least this pair of lovers in full body. They have extremely interesting eyes with that cross on them.

I'm usually on the dart forum, but thought you might like to share these photos he sent me.
