Thanks Doug, I found it in a pet shop labeled as a scarlet king.
It wasn't for sale as it would not eat. At first glance I was sure it was a scarlet snake (cemophora), and convinced them that they were "barking up the wrong tree" with their feeding method...LOL.
So they gave it to me for free.
It actually lapped up some chicken egg/water mixture last evening, and really had me convinced. But there was something about the coloration that was making me wonder. Thanks for the response.
