My pair of crested geckos have been together since Jan, but ther're just now starting to have problems. They both have pink spots on their faces, like sores, the scales are missing. They seemed to be healing. the next day, I noticed that the male had gotten his food on his face (or maybe the female walked through the food, and then over him)The day after that the food was gone from his face and the sores were bigger. There arn't any crickets in the cage that could have eaten him. It's possible that it was his mate, but there's no way that she's that hungry. Has anyone else had this problem? Anyone know what i could do? I would rather not separate them because they would have to be in ten gallon tanks and they only just started breeding. maybe the food on his face has nothing to do with it. Could they have injured eachother while mating? They've been together for over four months with no problems until now. I'm confused, any suggestions? Do cresteds fight over food even when there's plenty for both of them? Do you think that putting in two food dishes will help? ----- "Let us step out into the night and pursue that mighty temptress, adventure." (Albus Dumbledore)
