Posted by: paullywog at Wed Jun 4 13:04:05 2008 [ Report Abuse ] [ Email Message ] [ Show All Posts by paullywog ] that is a tiger salamander. it will thrive on any type of food you give it, as you've probably found already. looks like you're keeping it in water, i would suggest a tank of bed-a-beast with a water dish. they're easy to please though. if you give it a good solid platform to get out of the water and a hiding place out of the water it will be fine too, but they like to burrow which is why i suggest bed-a-beast. and just make sure it gets some type of lighting and occasional calcium supplements. enjoy your new pet!
