that is a tiger salamander. it will thrive on any type of food you give it, as you've probably found already. looks like you're keeping it in water, i would suggest a tank of bed-a-beast with a water dish. they're easy to please though. if you give it a good solid platform to get out of the water and a hiding place out of the water it will be fine too, but they like to burrow which is why i suggest bed-a-beast. and just make sure it gets some type of lighting and occasional calcium supplements. enjoy your new pet!

p.s. you don't have to feed it as often as it seems to "ask" for food, just a few crickets a day.
