My hypo snapping turtle(about 4 inches) had has this long string like with strand comming from the butt. This has been like the 4th time or so i've seen it. After the second time I asked my local pet shop and he said it shouldnt be anything big and if it was a worm(which he didnt think it was) it wouldnt harm him. Well I noticed it again yesterday night and their were several of the white strands(about 4 or them) and it got me worried. I think I want to de-worm him just to make sure if it is worms that I kill them before they possiably do some harm. Do you think I should just take him to a local vet and have them take care of it or should I just buy some de-worming stuff myself and do it. If you think I should do it myself what is a brand of de-wormer I should get and how do I use it.

Mitch
