They do not tame anywhere near as quick as bearded dragons or iguanas, and even water dragons lighten up quicker. The process of getting the frilled used to you could take anywhere from a few months to a year. I know its a long time, but thats just one of the things to expect when owning one. Many owners that have had their pet for quiet a few years can barely ever get it to frill because they get so tame and used to you.
