I personally don't like vision cages 1 the substrate gets in the doorway and its too shallow for any serious substrate for ground loving monitor and tegus. I use pure dirt or cypress mulch about 2 ft deep with no hide box since he digs and makes his own little cave as his hide box. I custom made my cage with plywood and 2 by 4s with plexi glass front.
