Well it's been a while since I've had pdf's but I finally got my 15 gallon's (basically a 20 high but a little shorter),background done and it's ready for substrate and plants. I'm not sure what's good anymore. I want to stay away from pothos because honestly even though it's super hardy I don't really like the looks of it. So I'll probably use a couple broms (which ones are ephiphytes?), java moss but after that I'm clueless. Something that will be a good ground cover and climb up the driftwood and background. I was also looking at Cryptanthus Variegated as I've had luck with them in the past.

Another thing, are you guys laying down a thick layer of substrate on top of your drainage gravel (seperated by like a weed guard or something)? Or are you just using gravel with some moss on top and growing the plants right out of that?
