So if it is more like clear thin layers of skin, which is what i am guessing by your discription, that is normal, diamonds like all reptiles shed their skin, and quite often, almost seemingly continuosly if they are rapidly growing But, if you are seeing is actually whiteish to grayish fuzzy spots on the skin them that would quite possibly be fungus, even in fresh water I would recomend that you add 1 tablespoon of marine salt to every 10 gals of water when changing water, and would recomend that you change at least 25-50% water weekly depending on your filtration system.
