I'm not sure about the hatchlings question.

As for the CGD, the banana powder isn't gone completely I don't think, just a bit reduced and replaced with rose flavoring, the geckos seemed to really go for that flavor of the two-part diet, so they integrated it into the one-part. Also, what do you mean by "bad"? Does it smell funny? Mine I know gets a little bit of the green color on top but thats just the nutrients separating out because it's been sitting.
