They we rescued from a out of season swimming pool. I've had them for about a month the rest have grown up fine and health I have 10 in all. The last three were fine and have developed their back legs. Till 3 days ago one ended up with white spots on it's tail. I immediately separated it and cleaned the tank. The next day the quarantined one had developed all for legs and had crawled out of the water. Also the other two had developed the same white spots and one is stuck floating at the top of the tank. I call the local reptile store and they thought they had ich, a fish sickness. They said the fish medicine for ich will kill amphibians. They told me to warm the water and add a small amount of salt. Today they are still the same and my metamorph has almost completely absorbed it's tail (very fast the rest took a couple of days). the tadpole that is stuck floating has very few spots and has a deformed tail from birth it's never been able to swim strait. The other tadpole acts fine but, it’s spots have gotten so that it looks like a wavy string around it’s tail. [ Reply To This Message ] [ Subscribe to this Thread ] [ Hide Replies ]
