Hey 53--loved your info on the ant collector, but one thing I found down here in Texas is these red ants can be very aggressive--and I have stood close to an ant pile gathering ants and ended up getting one or two on me and getting stung, they are stealthy little buggars. While I am not using yours (which sounds great) I use the hand held scorpion from black and decker and I have attached a pvc pole to the handle which affords me the privilege of standing about 4 ft from the entrance, I can keep my eyes on stragglers and put the nozzle up to the hole and it is small enough it sucks right out of the hole. I usually get 500 ants in just a few minutes, but usually go to several sites so I don't over do it at anyone site.
So do you have a handle on yours to extend your distance from the hole, or has this not been an issue. Just curious.....
