A female that has been bred successfully will usually start trying to avoid the male's advances. She will do this by actively walking away from him, hiding or just plain sitting on her tail.
I don't know exactly what the time frame is but I think it is generally about three months after a 'good' breeding that a female will lay. But, as I keep my adults together for the whole year this is based on their behavior. For example, when it gets warm and it starts to rain here in south Florida (generally May to July, like now) they are breeding daily. But in a month or so the females will really start to avoid the males.
By September or October they will have begun to lay their eggs.
