I'm in SW Louisiana and there's nothing down here bigger than diamondbacks (except for a few of the larger Texas Rats that I've seen). I've seen some that were 5' and I've been bit by one that measure just over 4' (that wasn't fun).

Watersnakes make neat pets if you can get the mean out of them and get them to start taking rodents.
