Thanks Tom. I am planting all of them in containers, so I can protect them if it freezes. I live in the Houston area, and we haven't had a serious freeze in a few years, but we do sometimes have whole weeks that the temps stay in the 40s or below. That usually doesn't happen until Dec. or Jan. and only lasts until early march. People around here plant hybiscus right in the ground and it lives through the winter.
I planted the nasturtiums this morning, and will plant the dandelion bush as soon as I get more soil. I assume that it needs a big pot. I'll wait until early spring for the creotsote. They take up to several months to germinate, so I will probably start them in winter and just keep the pots indoors until spring.
