Posted by: megalon at Sun Jul 27 12:02:17 2008 [ Report Abuse ] [ Email Message ] [ Show All Posts by megalon ] as big as your snappers are,i would'nt be too terribly worried about the fin spines on a 2" brim,you're talking about a spine that's around a 1/4" long or so.i used to feed 2" brim,(for all you guys up north,a brim is virtually any sunfish;bluegills,warmouth,stumpknockers,etc),to my matamata and my last ally snapper,which were about 6" at the time.i never had a problem with spine punctures,i guess a snapper's skin is really thick.
