I have heard that Mangroves can be canabilistic. What is anyones personal experience with this. I currently have large male mangrove and am thinking of picking up three more this weekend at a show and was thinking about housing them all in a large display enclosure. The enclosure is 5' x 3' x 3' and is very natural looking with a waterfall, tons of perching places and hides. What is everyones opinions on the possibility of putting them all together in one enclosure. I haven't totally decided but I am either going to get three females to go with teh male I have (a melanota) or one female melanota and a pair of salawasi (gemmicincta). In your opinions would I be able to house the seperate subspecies in the same enclosure. Would they somewhat stay to their own kind or is their a high probablilty of them crossbreeding amongst the two subspecies? Before anyone flames me about housing snakes together this is the only time I have even thought about it since the enclosure is plenty big enough and i think it would be much more interesting two have multiple specimens inside the one cage.
