>>hey everyone imma new iguana owner and new to the forum. i just wanted to post pix and ask for everyones advice. can anyone tell me how old he is? hes around 14 inches from snout to tip of the tail. and hes already shedding. he has a brown spot on the side of his head by his jaw and i was wondering if anyone can tell me what is. also he has some brown marks on top of his head. i keep him in a 55 gallon tank, how long do u think that will last me? also i dust his food with calcium everyday, is that to often?

The iguana is fairly young, what I would consider to be a baby. A few month old at most. When measuring always measure from tip of nose to base of tail. Tails break and regrow, so that is considered the SVL or snout vent length and the most reliable.

All I could see in the pics are coloration markings. I didnt see anything unusual that I can notice.

As for dusting the food, what are you feeding? Hard to suggest what supplements you would need with out knowing what your diet is.
