New Dumerils HELP!

I just got a new dumerils when it was just two days old. It is absolutely beautiful with distinct pink markings all down the side. However, I have had the boa for almost three weeks and it still hasn't eaten. My question is whether or not this is common and if anyone has any tips to get him to eat.
