>>I have heard of this in geckos, but have no experience with igs. My friend has a Rock Iguana from last year's NRBE. She has had no exposure to a male since August '07, but laid 13 eggs this week. What are the chances these eggs could be fertile? At what day would candeling show an embryo? >>Thanks, >>Sierra
They can retain sperm, I am just not sure for how long. Your best bet will be to check with the folks on the cyclura forum. Iguanids all will lay eggs even if they have never been with a male, which is why I prefer to keep males only. One less health issue to deal with. ----- Cindy PHFaust
