Nice forum here. I have 3 long tailed grass lizards (and one rarely glimpsed tree frog) in a 55 gal well-planted terrarium complete w/ large water bowl, UVB & basking lights, corkbark hides and plastic vines. I've added coconut (bark?) to the soil mix to help hold humidity, as well as a covering of terrarium moss over most of the ground area. Cool area of the tank ranges from the low 70's at night to mid 70's daytime; general temps are between mid 70's to low 80's and the basking area gets up to 90-100 (depending on how high they climb under the bulb - they like to be pretty close though).



The humidity seems to stay around 50-55% most of the day, rising to 60-70% at night. I mist once or twice a day which raises humidity to 70-80%, but it doesn't stay that high very long. Is this adequate for these guys? I've heard humidity should be around 70% and don't know if these flucuations are normal or unacceptable.



Also - these guys seem quite tame. When I put my hand in the tank (couple times a week) two of them run right up & climb my arm to sit between my elbow & shoulder. I was suprised they were so outgoing. Is this typical behaviour or do I have oddballs? Thank you all for your time!
