Hey i havnt bred any reptiles but there are some questions i can answer for u to the best of my knowledge. Also my friend who is a herp enthusiast has beardies.

1. Are they as easy to get to breed as the bearded dragons?
Dunno

2. How fast can they mature to breeding size? My beardies are usually breeding within a year and a half.
Dunno

3. Is the diet any more or less difficult? I've heard some places recommend the same diet and others recommend a more carnivorous diet and several of the books disagree as well.
I'd say they probably eat less salads then beardies do. or atleast mine anyways. other then that id say they eat pretty much the same food, IE crickets, roaches, worms, rodents, fruits, etc.

4. How long would a 29 gallon tank last if I buy a trio of babies?
I wouldnt use a horizontal tank. because frillies are arborial and like to climb to heights. so i'd go with more of a vertical tank. but anyways i say it would last a yr or less for 3

5. What would you say is the minimum cage size for an adult trio and do they use the ground space or vertical space more or equally?
For a trio? possibly a 2x3x6 minimum. or however tall ur ceiling is. mine only likes to chill on the ground because i have a heat mat under his tank and he likes to warm his belly. id say they use more of the vert space because they're arborial.

I think missy would be able to answer these questions better because she breeds them.
