Posted by: DMong at Sat Aug 16 11:11:09 2008 [ Report Abuse ] [ Email Message ] [ Show All Posts by DMong ] I agree with Mike,.....newborn and newly hatched snakes usually have a good supply of yolk in their belly that gives them a good "head-start" in the wild until they acquire a feeding response. They should start to feed in a week or better providing you give them secure burrowing/hiding areas to make them feel hidden. This is extremely important for MANY types of young nenate snakes.
