Ok, so I do not have snakes, the furless kinds anyhow. I have ferrets. And they eat mice, and so I want to breed their dinner. With two ferrets I will need at least 4 adult mice a day, and so I need to breed them, otherwise I go broke rather quickly. Right now they are on raw until I can get a colony set-up.
What is the best male:female ratio for mice? I want to have the minimum number of cages possible. Also, other than a rack system, what seems to work best?

Also, if anyone needs a ton of mice killed to freeze in the Brampton, ON area, let me know. My ferrets are rather good at it, and it's the most humane way to dispatch a mouse. And they do it cleanly each time. I only ask for a mouse per ferret for a mass cull.
