They do eat a lot! I feed mine as much as he wants, but not after 4pm. I don't want him to sleep and get cold on a full tummy. Like most lizards, mine gets darker when he's cold, and when something is happening that he doesn't especially like. If I hold him and walk near other certain reptiles, he darkens. He's also darker in the morning than the afternoon.
