Repti Sand safety

A debate has broken out at another uro forum of which I'm a member about the safety of Repti Sand. I realize that it isn't calcium sand, but I seem to recall multiple warnings about Repti Sand back when I first got my uros, and advice to used washed play sand or millet instead.



Just to refresh my memory, are any of you familiar with reasons not to use Repti Sand, or is my memory playing tricks on me?
