Since i last posted the second egg from the calico x calico clutch has hatched. There is a marked difference between the two hatchlings. God knows if one or indeed both are calicos. I have seen people offering "het calico" babies for sale in America for $350 (emerald exotics - Alejandro Lozano's). But for some reason i thought most morphs were co-dom. Now i also know there are multiple genes around responsible for creating calico. So wether i have indeed produced double hets or one calico and one not i am not sure. It sure is a puzzler. Assuming the parents are the same morph then whether recessive or co dom - both should be calicos, plus due to the insane variability of the calico gene, they both could be.
