Right i am back armed with pictures. Since i last posted the second egg from the calico x calico clutch has hatched. There is a marked difference between the two hatchlings. God knows if one or indeed both are calicos. I have seen people offering "het calico" babies for sale in America for $350 (emerald exotics - Alejandro Lozano's). But for some reason i thought most morphs were co-dom. Now i also know there are multiple genes around responsible for creating calico. So wether i have indeed produced double hets or one calico and one not i am not sure. It sure is a puzzler. Assuming the parents are the same morph then whether recessive or co dom - both should be calicos, plus due to the insane variability of the calico gene, they both could be.
baby 1 from calico x calico breeding.

baby 2 from calico x calico breeding.

the one thing that i like about the patternation of baby one is the white patches on the head. Not sure whether this is normal or not as this was the first baby tokay i have ever hatched!!! lol

the thing to note about baby 2 is the fact that the mouth lacks pigment (forgot to check inside the mouth of baby 1) - baby tokays should have a black mouth. All my adult calicos lack throat pigmentation. Maybe if i check the other one and that is pink throated then possibly they both are. Just thought of that as i typed it, maybe thats the marker to look for.... who knows... learning as i go along.
the two together for comparison.

egg casing

now how the hell did that fit in there!!!!

here are some other eggs that are cooking - all the others had to get moved into the incubator.
