I bought three female and one male pictus about two months ago. The females were supposedly never with a male when I had ordered them at an age of six months.
Needless to say, all of them have started laying eggs, while the male has always been kept separate.
I know females can lay infertile eggs, but what are the odds that all three would do that?
So my guess is they were with a male for a short period of time.
My question is how do I tell if the eggs are fertile.
The first set has been in an incubator for about three weeks another for one week. All of them still look good. If they were infertile would they have begun to rot?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.
