But fruit should definitely be a treat only - very small amounts - as they're high sugar. You can also offer vegetables (besides greens) like shredded butternut squash, parsnips, green beans, etc, to fill out the diet. Then there's the dry goodies that they love: lentils, finch seed, dry grasses, bee pollen granules, even good quality juvie ig pellets, etc, though these should also be smallish amounts.
