Be careful with the soil substrate an constant misting. Yes, you want a certain level of humidity, but you don't want everything to be constantly soaking wet. Constantly wet soil could be perfect conditions for bacterial infections.

It's hard to say for certain it's only been brown, but yeah, keeping tabs on the temp and humidity would be the first step. You'll also need a good UV tube and calcium to dust the crickets with. The UV bulb is essential for proper absorption and processing of the calcium.
